Grants
Circle members award a single grant each year to a non-governmental organization serving women and children in Spain. Members vote for the grant recipient after our May meeting.
How we decide
Grantee organizations on the shortlist are invited to our May/June gathering to present to Circle members about their work. After the meeting, members vote for the recipient of the grant funds.
Focus Areas
BSVC only funds NGOs who work with or support issues directly affecting women and girls in Spain. Potential focus areas include healthcare, homelessness, domestic abuse, immigration, asylum, and education.
How members help
Circle members may join the Grant Review Committee. This committee is responsible for identifying potential grantees; defining how they will be chosen for the shortlist; and recommending a shortlist of candidates to the Executive Committee for approval before the final vote by Circle members.
Join the Grant Review Committee.
Circle members in good standing may volunteer for the Grant Review committee. Members of this committee are responsible for researching and shortlisting potential grant recipients who meet the criteria developed in collaboration with the Executive Committee.
